Waking Up To Peace
As Christians we are called to shed (sometimes painfully scrape away at) sinful family, cultural and personal constructs. These fearful constructs limit us. The disconnect from awareness of oneness inevitably occurs as a direct result of being on this planet and almost completely immersed in an illusion.
At times in our personal and collective histories we have been ruled by hardened egoic belief patterns that delude us into believing that God actually ordained the marginalization and oppression of another of God’s children through our thoughts, words and deeds.
How do we end this cycle of believing the lie of the perceived inferiority of the “other”? We must bathe ourselves in Truth.
God has communicated the directive to LOVE clearly and He has described our greatest challenge as sin. We lean toward making others a mere backdrop for our heroic journey. We mistakenly believe we are here to realize moralistic and intellectual superiority. Battling this tendency is our work and when diligently done the narrative will change. It changes because we become closer to God and He provides a clearer reflection so we become more self aware.
As we endeavor to pursue Him in the form of our individual and collective purpose on this planet, we must look to Jesus. Seeking deliverance from anger, judgement and disconnect from our neighbor, those we’ve been commanded to love, is the sole point of our lives. Loving and experiencing God through the gift of relationships is the aggregate moral of every spiritual lesson.
In His Peace,
